According to the Independent, thousands of fish were swimming too close to the surface when an exceedingly cold gust of wind swept through.
The fish were frozen on the spot. In the image above, taken by Ingolf Kristiansen from the tiny island of Lovund in central Norway, a dog stands on the frozen surface. 
“I've never seen anything like it. It has not happened before here as far as I know,” he told NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
So, how cold is too cold? 17.96 degrees Farenheit, apparently.
